The history of Zazu

More than three hundred years ago there was a country called Zaliba. The ruler of Zaliba was a dictator, his name was Marus Blumos. The people of the country were terrified of him and his rules. There were a lot of rules and if people broke one of them, they were sent to prison. The lower your social status the longer your prison sentence. You could pay your way out of prison, but this was only possible for the rich people. No visitors were allowed. The state was in control of everything: school, culture, religion, hospitals, …

There were a lot of strict rules in the country such as:

  • Only one religion was allowed. The only religion allowed was created by Marus Blumos and called: Blumosindi, a religion where you believe that the dictator is God

  • You can’t be in possession of drugs and alcohol. This was strictly controlled, on every corner of the streets were cameras.

  • The schools were separated. Boys and girls were not allowed together in school.

  • You couldn’t show affection in public places.

  • Outsiders were not allowed, only in the harbour were people from other countries allowed.

  • Cannabis wasn’t considered a legal medicinal substance.

Some people couldn’t take it any longer, so they formed groups and organized strikes against the state. That didn’t change anything, so they had to take drastic measures. After years of planning, they started a revolution, and they would call themselves “The hippies”.

They had a plan to take the former dictator Marus Blumos down on his birthday. They planned to replace the regular chocolate cake with a chocolate cake made of XTC, so it would seem that he overdosed himself.

Everything went according to plan, the dictator died, and the hippies took over the city. They changed the country into a free place with less rules where people live in peace. They called the country “ZAZU”. In Zazu there is no kind of authority. It is a free-spirited country where anarchy rules.
